Flammable Water – Kyrgyzstan- October 2017

The earth holds some pretty strange secrets and this one ranked up there. From deep underground sprang a spring which bubbles up to the surface like champagne. It’s tiny bubbles crowding the surface and flowing off like foam. Hold a match to it and it lights like a stove. Even in a strong wind it would light but go out quickly. Shelter it from the wind and apparently it is enough to fry four eggs at once.

I was like a child giggling with delight standing there with a box of matches. Who knew Mother Nature could have created something as odd as this.

I was just talking about you with my friend – places you’re visiting are insane!

Seems that warm baths all year long won’t be a problem 🙂
